Neighbourhood watch
Summary Year to Date
Last meeting was 16 July 2007 attended by Village Co-ordinators, PC Adam Polkey and Wendy Taylor, Police Community Support Officer.
Shortly after the meeting, we put a message in 'Pew News' regarding distraction burglaries.
October 2007 - Halloween notices were distributed and well received.
11 December 2007 - attended Thames Valley Police Open Meeting at Granborough village hall. Davina also in attendance, linking to NAGs.
April 2008 - Speeding reported via bus stop parents. Spoke to PC Dan Hopkins and liaised with Davina. Action points now being picked up via NAGs/Parish Council (SID/speed van to attend/speed watch training).
Phil Gomm can update re Farm and Country Watch.
All areas of the village covered by co-ordinators (co-ordinator for Marks Orchard moving away, but replacement currently registering).
Overall crime rates remain very low - mainly burglaries (very quiet on the door knockers in the last 12 months). As ever though, we can't get complacent and I'll soon be arranging our Annual Meeting where I will be inviting all co-ordinators, Police, PCSO, Phil Gomm and the public. |
